Over 100 IIHS student nurses graduate in Malaysia

IIHS’s Open University of Malaysia program has enrollment of over 1,200 Sri Lankan student nurses

A pioneering Sri Lankan education institute with 16 years in the field, the Internatio­nal Institute of Health Science ( IIHS) recently achieved another internatio­nal milestones when over 100 of its student nurses graduated in Kuala Lumpur with a Nursing Degree from the Open University of Malaysia (OUM).

IIHS’s longstandi­ng partnershi­p with OUM has enabled IIHS to provide internatio­nal degrees to Sri Lankan nurses wishing to upgrade their nursing diplomas. There are more than 1,200 Sri Lankan and 60 Maldivian student nurses currently enrolled in the Nursing Degree program offered by OUM.

A unique private owned university in Malaysia, OUM is owned by a consortium that comprises 11 public universiti­es. The OUM Bachelors Degree in Nursing program is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has internatio­nal pathways to Masters Degree programs. Further, this program, which is available via IIHS in Sri Lanka, includes access to internatio­nal libraries as well as readings and other retired curriculum for its students. IIHS delivers the program through the Learner Management System, renowned for its award winning learning platform.
