Everocks Gold lift title

Aspirited Everocks Gold team was crowned champions of Fantastic 5 Season 3 Futsal Tournament while the Everocks Green were awarded the runner- up in the spectacula­r Futsal Tournament organised by the Hameed Al- Hussienie College Old Boys Associatio­n ( OBA) Branch in Qatar.

In the grand finale, two teams which played under the same Everocks FC banner, Everocks Gold and Everocks Green fought hard for the trophy after beating Haji 7s and Qatar Brave Lankans respective­ly in the semi- finals. It was a fairytale ending for Everocks FC which proved out to Champions: Everocks Gold Runner up: Everocks Green Third Place: Haji 7s FC

A day to remember for Sri Lankans living in Qatar as the Pearling Season Internatio­nal School ground was packed with football fanatics and their families. The event was decorated with a cultural dance, a freestyle football competitio­n and an exhibition football match between two teams from Asian Football Academy plus many more exciting events and activities. Chief Guest of the aw a r d s ceremony was Rassamunir­a Ramli from Abdullah Abdulghani and Bros, who were the main sponsors of the event and Ro c k y of White Ro c k Entertainm­ent, Mohamed Imthiyas of Oxford Group Sri Lanka, Faizal Buhary of Viro Qatar, Mohamed Hibry, the President of Group of 80s HAHC Sri Lanka, were the Guests of Honour at the event.

The Hameed Al- Hussienie College OBA Qatar, a prominent Old Boys Associatio­n in Qatar were the organisers of the event. They are actively involved in many sporting events and activities among the Sri Lankan community in Qatar. At the event an honour roll and member of the year of 2018 was awarded to Abdul Malik and Ihshanllah of HAHC OBA Qatar. The objective of this event was to raise funds to contribute to uplift education and extracurri­cular a c t iv i t i e s o f Hameed Al- Hussienie College, Colombo and to foster fellowship among the Sri Lankan community living in Qatar.
