‘PRAISE’ from JASTIC

The latest a-capella group ‘JASTIC’ will come alive at the auditorium of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (SLITHM) on December 7th, 2018 at 7.00pm.

Music is an art, which includes talent and style. ‘JASTIC’ is a six member upcoming choral band specialise­d in a-capella singing style, which specialize­d in group singing unaccompan­ied by any musical instrument. Apart from a-capella singing, choral music, creative music and composing originals are the unique styles of the JASTIC.

Each member is musically qualified and talented in solo singing and as well as playing different instrument­s, which paved the way for innovative creations in the music industry. The group performs for church wedding functions in creating vocal arrangemen­ts and melodies that enlightens the audi- ence to a great extent.

Stemming from the need to use their talents for a greater cause, JASTIC has organised a musical event ‘PRAISE’ a night of soulful music to raise funds for a building of a new church in Kandana area. The Concert takes the form of a hymnal which is re-created with modern music and vocals of blending harmonious melodies and will be presented to the audience as a contempora­ry version of all time loved music.

The concert is scheduled to take the stage on Friday, the 7th December. The tickets are priced at Rs 1000/- each and available at the church and at the gates. All profits will be donated to the Priest in charge of the new church for the new building project.
