MTIS- MicroTech Industrial Solutions (Pvt) Limited is a company which provides many industrial solutions ranging from designing, electrical, engineering, installation, fabrication, etc. sourced from reputed well established network of global suppliers. The Director of the company, Mr. A. Arunmanoj, along with the CEO, and the General Manager conversed with us about the company and their services rendered.
Could you briefly tell us about the beginning of MTIS and the service done by the company?
First it was started as a Sole proprietorship back in 2009 by Mr. S Pathmaraj who is currently serving as the chairman/ Managing Director of MTIS. In 2015, the company was made a limited liability company.
Currently we do provide our services to a few large organizations which includes some multinational companies, especially in the food and beverage sector.
Our services range from plant designing, providing steam solutions, process automation, industrial fabrications, maintenance of industrial equipments, and supply of genuine spare parts of SPX, Zhongya, AA filters, Spirax Sarco.
We also have done many turn-key projects successfully during the last few years.
How are turn-key projects done?
Turn-key projects mean, from the blue print, our qualified team of Engineers visit the customer so as to observe it and figure out their requirements. After establishing the requirement, our team of engineers would then draft the layouts, estimation, timelines, etc.
We have a couple of meetings with the project team and if the client agrees to proceed with the proposed project, we deploy a project execution team from our company and monitor closely to ensure that the required machinery or equipment reaches the site, on time for the project completion as per agreed time lines.
We always ensure that we deploy an experienced team of work force to all our project sites and these sites are supervised by our qualified team of engineers.
Tell us about your range of services.
We do designing, installation, fabrications of plants based on the customers’ needs. Steam engineering solutions, industrial fabrications and process automation solutions are some of the other services that we provide to our customers.
The products your company offers are sourced from leading foreign suppliers and manufacturers. Could you tell us about them?
We have a few large reputed brands of equipments and spares that we supply to the local market like SPX, Zhongya, AA filters and Spirax.Saco . We always ensure that we provide these equipments and spares with the assurance of their high quality and they come with the manufacturers’ warranty.
SPX product portfolio includes a wide range of products like mixers, valves, heat exchanges and homogenizers designed to be used in food, diary and brewing industries and also in chemical, healthcare, pharmaceutical and processing industries. Their unrivaled range of products complies with the highest international standards for hygiene. SPX is based in Poland.
Zhongya is a Chinese based company and they provide filling machinery. Yoghurt fillers, cup fillers, bottle fillers are a few to mention.
AA filters provides filter solutions for air conditioners and other industrial applications and it is a company based in USA.

So to what companies do you supply these machinery and equipments in Sri Lanka?
Currently we work with many large scale manufacturers in Sri Lanka, especially in food and beverage sector. Namely, Fonterra Brands Lanka, Nestle Lanka , Palawatta, Milco and Renuka Group.
Are after sale services provided by the company?
Absolutely yes. We have a well trained and qualified staff to carry out the maintenance backed up by qualified experienced engineers.
Do you supply equipment to hotels too?
Hotels are not our potential customers at the moment but we have supplied certain hotels with some equipment based on their needs.
Our company is now in the process of expanding further and will be moving to our own premises in Kohuwala by January 2019. Our warehouse is located in Biyagama and most of the pre fabrications are done in this site.
