The reincarnation of ‘The Hut’

Now defunct popular night club ‘Little Hut’ of the Mount Lavinia Hotel will be resurrected again to bring back the memory of the old entertainment den in the South of Colombo.

The launch ceremony was held last week at the new venue by the beach, ‘The Hut’ will be back in the saddle again.

In an unprecedented, progressive step, the management of The Little Hut at Mount Lavinia Hotel is now officially handled by Elite Promotions and Events (Private) Ltd; an affiliate of the Ideal Group of Companies. Elite Promotions and Events company is spearheaded and owned by Richard de Zoysa and Nalin Welgama, Chairman of the Ideal Group.

The Hut is back in action and will be progressing to a new era in entertainment with at least three days of live music weekly.

Popular bands ‘Wildfire’, ‘Mirage’ and ‘Sherriden and the Sunset Band’ are billed to perform at the Hut during the weekends.
