Do your rough work on the answer sheet

-

The Examinations Department will introduce a new answer sheet to minimise malpractices at the examination, an official said.

The new answer sheet will have sufficient space to do rough- work when working out sums. The usual practice had been that an additional paper is given for the purpose.

"The objective is to minimise the number of paper sheets in the possession of students. These sheets are misused by some students to indulge in exam malpractice," the official said.

He said steps would be taken to ensure that sufficient space was available on the paper where answers are written.

Meanwhile, the Examinations Department plans to provide a detailed analysis of the results to every school and zonal education offices for further action. - DW
