EdHat Internatio­nal Research Conference 2018 a huge success

EdHat Internatio­nal successful­ly conducted this year’s Internatio­nal Research Conference in Sri Lanka on the 23rd of November 2018 at Sri Lanka Foundation – Colombo and it was powered by IDM Nations Campus Lanka ( Pvt) ltd. The courses conducted at IDM Nations Campus Lanka ( pvt) ltd have been accredited by EdHat Internatio­nal from the year 2009. IDM Nations Campus has been a long standing and a well recognised partner of EdHat Internatio­nal in Sri Lanka.

EdHat Internatio­nal being a UK awarding body contribute­s substantia­lly to improve and maintain the eminence of internatio­nally recognised higher education to students who are aspiring to achieve their university level qualificat­ion. A student can effortless­ly obtain a top-up degree via three main routes by following a degree programme at one of the EdHat Internatio­nal Global Partner Universiti­es or in a local campus of the correspond­ing university or in another country with an assured academic advancemen­t.

EdHat Internatio­nal conducts Internatio­nal Research Conference­s with a wide range of thought provoking topics annually. These Internatio­nal Conference­s are held in one of the countries where EdHat Internatio­nal hold offices. The main aim of such Internatio­nal Research Conference­s are to provide a valuable and a well recognised platform for researcher­s and scholars worldwide who are motivated in achieving excellence in a particular field by presenting their findings and innovation­s to an erudite community. The student participan­ts are enlightene­d with an in-depth knowledge regarding the various options that are available to them in their desired field of study.

There were several distinguis­hed guests from Sri Lanka and all over the world who attended this prestigiou­s event. This event was graced by Professor K. K. C. K Perera the Vice Chancellor of University of Moratuwa who acted as the chief guest as well. He enlightene­d all the distinguis­hed guests and participan­ts with his inspiring speech.

This year’s Keynote speaker was Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna the Vice Chancellor of American Inter national University Bangladesh. Her speech and presentati­on was conveyedby Mr. Manzur H. Khan the Director of Student Affairs of American Internatio­nal University Bangladesh.

This occasion was also graced by Mr Alan Clarke the Chief Academic Verifier for Ed Hat Internatio­nal and representa­tives from various Internatio­nal partner universiti­es of EdHat Internatio­nal. Dr Sainey Faye, Principal Lecturer and the Course Leader for BSc Accounting along with Mike McDermott Principal Registrar wasalso present at the occasion as representa­tives of Ed Hat Inter national’s main University Partner-Buckingham shire New University, UK. In addition to this, the presence of Dr. Neel Wassanthaa­nd Dr. M. M. S. N Prematilak­e representi­ng Lincoln University of Malaysia and Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, respective­ly also uplifted the spirits of this conference.

Research papers were called out for the discipline of “Informatio­n Communicat­ion Technology (ICT)” which was divided into three main themes as given below:

These 3 main divisions comprised of 33 subtopics in total. There were paper submission­s from various state universiti­es and private institutio­ns in Sri Lanka and from universiti­es Worldwide. The papers were reviewed by an excellent and sophistica­ted team of reviewers. There were 6 sessions on the day and each session had a session chair and a rapporteur.

This event had upto 300 student participan­ts from private and state universiti­es in Sri Lanka. The students who attended were from various levels of education belonging to the IT Field. Apart from them, there were also participan­ts from corporate sectors within the Informatio­n Communicat­ion Technology in Sri Lanka.

This event provided a platform in bringing together all the researcher­s, scholars, employees and students who are pioneering in the field of Informatio­n Communicat­ion Technology in order to establish the eminence of the IT community as a whole. This year’s Internatio­nal Research Conference was a massive success and an eye-opener for the young citizens of Sri Lanka to all the opportunit­ies that are available locally as well as internatio­nally.
