'A CHRISTMAS WITH ASTORIA’
AVIC Astoria, one of the most anticipated condominium projects in the country at the moment and one that is soon nearing completion, recently held ‘A Christmas with Astoria’ cocktail event with the aim of celebrating a year of successful progression with future homeowners and other stakeholders who were present at the event. The get-together event took place on 18th December 2018 at the Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand Hotel. The event was hosted and compered by Astoria - Project Director, Mr. Zhang Bo.
The get-together was also instigated with the hope of thanking everyone who has been and are still involved with the mega project whilst bringing through the essence of the Christmas season and the upcoming New Year, and glorifying the evening in the hopes of stepping forward into a successful year -2019. Astoria homeowners eagerly attended the event to enlighten themselves on the progress that was being reported for Astoria and a number of speakers took the time to disclose their views about the project being implemented as well as about the night in question.
Astoria is a freehold mixed development luxury condominium property located in Colombo 03 and comprises three residential towers of 472 units and one 15 floor commercial tower. The project was being developed in two phases. The first phase of Towers 1 and 2 are currently under preparation to be handed over to homeowners whereas the construction work on the Towers 3 and 4 structures has already been completed and are scheduled to be handed over before the end of 2019.
Astoria – Project Director, Mr. Zhang Bo disclosed in his speech, “The ongoing build-up of Astoria in the heart of Colombo is now coming to a close and the entire project, from its inception and up until now, has been emphasized over the past few years as one of the most influential real estate and construction projects to have ever been initiated on Sri Lanka’s luxury living landscape. Mr. Zhao Hailong, General Manager of AVIC Engineering Sri Lankan Branch stated in his speech on the night, “The Astoria project has now become synonymous amongst realtors and luxury home-owners both locally and globally, as the best address to own in Colombo. Sri Lanka is heralded time and time again as amongst the best of travel destinations and is also clearly denoted as a country that is evolving in terms of business prospects for potential investors from across the world.”
The event was graced by a distinguished number of VIPs which included Mrs. Zou Yuecui, wife of the Ambassador of the Embassy of The People's Republic of China in Sri Lanka and Mr. Chen Shuyang, Officer of the Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka.
