Virakesari, Thinathant­hi sign collaborat­ive agreement

Sri Lanka’s leading Tamil newspaper Virakesari has signed a collaborat­ive agreement with India’s Thinathant­hi newspaper, which has a daily circulatio­n of more than 1.8 million. The Thanthi group also has TV and radio channels.

Up- to- date news from the sub-continent and the world will now be available through the pages of Thanthi in the Virakesari. A supplement of the “Thinathant­hi” will be carried with the “Daily Virakesari from January 24 onwards from Monday to Saturday. Besides news, there will also be articles of reader interest, especially on health, tourism,

education and entertainm­ent. This collaborat­ive agreement between the two companies was entered into in Colombo on January 9.

Express Newspapers publishes internatio­nal news in English in the “Daily Express” which is circulated in Colombo along with Virakesari.
