Vi­rake­sari, Thi­nathanthi sign col­lab­o­ra­tive agree­ment

Sri Lanka’s lead­ing Tamil news­pa­per Vi­rake­sari has signed a col­lab­o­ra­tive agree­ment with In­dia’s Thi­nathanthi news­pa­per, which has a daily cir­cu­la­tion of more than 1.8 mil­lion. The Than­thi group also has TV and ra­dio chan­nels.

Up- to- date news from the sub-con­ti­nent and the world will now be avail­able through the pages of Than­thi in the Vi­rake­sari. A sup­ple­ment of the “Thi­nathanthi” will be car­ried with the “Daily Vi­rake­sari from Jan­uary 24 on­wards from Mon­day to Sat­ur­day. Be­sides news, there will also be ar­ti­cles of reader in­ter­est, es­pe­cially on health, tourism,

ed­u­ca­tion and en­ter­tain­ment. This col­lab­o­ra­tive agree­ment be­tween the two com­pa­nies was en­tered into in Colombo on Jan­uary 9.

Ex­press News­pa­pers pub­lishes in­ter­na­tional news in English in the “Daily Ex­press” which is cir­cu­lated in Colombo along with Vi­rake­sari.
