Daily flights to Colombo by Thai Lion Air

Thai Lion Air will start direct, daily flights from Colombo to Bangkok from January 30. The flight is scheduled to take off from Colombo at 9.30 am and arrive at Don Mueang Airport (Bangkok) at (local time) 14:45 pm.

Capt. Darsito Hendro Seputro, Chairman of the Board, Thai Lion Air said Thai Lion Air is ready for the Sri Lanka market and excited to bring more travelers from Sri Lanka to have an experience of Thailand.

Thailand is one of the favourite destinatio­ns of travellers who love the nature and t r a d i t i o n a l . M o re ove r, Bangkok has too many attractive places whether it is traditiona­l temple such as Grand Palace ( Phra Kaew Temple). There are many places to attract the shopaholic to travel such as Chatuchak market or Night Market where there is a lot of Street food in Bangkok.

Currently between Colombo and Bangkok, SriLankan Airlines has 14 frequencie­s, Thai Airways has five while Air Asia Thai has seven frequencie­s.

After Colombo, Thai Lion Air is planning to open another destinatio­n for more connectivi­ty of people all over the world. “We expect the number of passenger arrivals from Colombo to Thailand to definitely increase,” the airline said in a media release.

Thai Lion Air, a low cost carrier with 180 seater plane operating on the Colombo sector, has a new service called Lion Seat Selection where passengers can select the seat such as window or aisle seats fare start from 60 Baht.
