"Expose 2019"- An Electronic perspective of the future
The University of Moratuwa (UoM) is the best Technological University in Sri Lanka for its undergraduates to develop and excel.
The Electronic Club, also known as the E-Club, is the official student association of the Department of Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering (ENTC) of the UoM. It organised "Expose 2019" Exhibition from January 19-21, where its undergraduates showcased their talents in Engineering and Robotics.
'Expose' is one of the flagship events of the E-Club, organized for the 3rd time, as the Department embarked on its golden jubilee. The 1st 'Expose' exhibition was held in 2009 and the 2nd in 2015.
'Expose 2019' enabled students to showcase their talents in Industrial Electronics, Software Hardware Co- design, Telecommunicatios, Robotics & Automation, Biomedical Engineering and Digital System Design, including many final year Research projects as well as new inventions, which were grabbed by the industry and the market.
'Expose 2019' was a knowledge hub with more than 45 Educational stalls under one roof, creating a common ground for under- graduates, graduates, industry, academia, schoolchildren and interested corporate entities. Several useful workshops, too, were held under the guidance of UoM Lecturers and renowned resource persons, as a part of the exhibition.
Important sessions of the exhibition were live telecasts on Peo TV from a studio hosted by ENTC students.
Sri Lankan Robotics Challenge (SLRC), a National level Robotics competition for Robotic enthusiasts islandwide, was held parallel to 'Expose 2019'. The competition was held under two categories for both school and university students, with more than 150 groups participating.
Team Death- end of Ranabima Royal College came 1st in the Schools category, with Richmond College, Galle as Runner-up and Dudley Senanayake Central College 2nd Runner-up. Team SALAZAR of UoM won the University segment, with University of Peradeniya and another team from UoM placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The winners will be afforded the opportunity to represent Sri Lanka at the International Robotics Challenge.
