Teachers transferred without consent of Transfer Board: CTU

The Ceylon Teachers Union (CTU), last week, charged that around 200 teachers serving in schools in the Hatton educational zone (HEZ) have been transferred without the consent of the Transfer Board.

CTU Secretary, Nuwara Eliya district V Indraselvan said that HEZ Director, P Sridharan had acted in violation of the teacher transfer board Circular 2007/20 where it has been stated that only the Teacher Transfer Board has powers to transfer teachers. Please turn to Page 10
