Ariana Grande back to back on the UK charts

Ariana Grande has set records tumbling as she has replaced herself back to back on the UK singles chart with ‘7 Rings’, the song that was her No: 1 a fortnight ago. Her last No: 1 song ‘Breakup With Your Girlfriend, I’m Tired’ was relegated to the No: 2 spot, holding the plum spot for a solitary week. Also ‘7 Rings’ has become the UK’s No: 1 song for a third time. In total the song has occupied the top spot for four non consecutive weeks. All this has taken place within days of the 25 year old winning the Best International Female Solo Artist Award at the BRITS last week. Further across the Atlantic in her own country, Ariana is dominating the top 3 positions on the US Hot 100 Singles chart with ‘7 Rings’ at No: 1, ‘Break Up...’ at No: 2 and ‘thank U, next’ at No:3. The Beatles were last act to dominate the top 3 spots on the same chart back in 1962 with ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ No:1, ‘Twist And Shout’ No: 2 and ‘She Loves You’ at No: 3.
