Global Centre for Leadership to be launched

-

MDF Training and Consulting will launch its Global Centre for Leadership in a ceremony at the Ceylon Riding Club, Piliyandala on March 12.

To be attended by a select group of thought-leaders from our multi-national corporates, the event promises “something quite different”, involving an English tea, horses and an experience around authenticity and leadership, the organisation said in a media release.

MDF Training and Consulting has been operating globally from its Sri Lanka base for around 30 years. Its diverse all-female team of consultants are usually to be found conducting leadership training in remote conflict and natural disaster-affected areas, on behalf of various foreign Governments and for bi- lateral donors.

Former MDF Director and Senior Consultant, Ineke Pitts has a long history of working with the corporate sector in Sri Lanka as a leadership and management trainer. Recently she became recognised for her role in teaching the Sri Lankan army about hors- es. Turning her passion into a thriving new business, Ineke is the owner and proprietor of the successful Ceylon Riding Club which provides the venue for next Tuesday’s event.

“She will also explain why horses are uniquely qualified to coach us to develop an authenticity in our leadership that is a more powerful and compelling force than aggression, compulsion, incentivising or fear. Together with the Trainer Consultants Team at MDF and her team at Ceylon Riding Club, it promises to be a ‘not-to-be-missed’ opportunity for learning, sharing and networking whilst enjoying the stunning backdrop of the Pilyandala club and a traditional English Tea by Bakes by Bella,” the release said.
