As one of the leading vocational and tertiary training providers in Sri Lanka BCAS campus has taken a great responsibi­lity of aiding the students and teachers to overcome the barriers they face in the education sector.

Amongst the diploma and undergradu­ate programmes of BCAS Campus, the TEACHER TRAINING is figured as one of its kind and an exclusive Diploma course which has been designed to suit the 21st century class room. The programme also caters especially to the primary teachers of the English Medium schools mainly the Internatio­nal Schools which are now emerging with a great demand. BCAS has already produced a large number of teachers who could conduct Learner Centered and Mixed Ability classes.

Students of 19th batch of Teaching Training programme of BCAS Kandy Campus presented the end result of their 6 months programme on the 17th of this month at BCAS Kandy Campus Auditorium.

The day commenced with an exhibition based on one of the study programmes “Visual Communicat­ion & Creativity” which was exhibited under 4 sections, Maths, IT, English & Environmen­t. The teacher training tools had been created from “best out of waste” and modern teaching methodolog­ies that were demonstrat­ed by the young ladies together with the portfolios were much impressive andoutstan­ding.

The highlight of day’s events was the concert organized by the 19thbatch students which showed not only their teaching skills but the talents they possessed..dancing, singing, etc., which would definitely pave way to bring out the talents of the kids.

BCAS campus has produced many skilled primary teachers in the past who are presently working in the internatio­nal schools and overseas and some of them have even started their own pre-schools, adding recognitio­n and credit to BCAS Kandy Campus.
