La Petite Fleur students stand against addiction

-

The street outside their school saw a battalion of banner-waving students as the older boys and girls of LPF Academy stepped out on 3rd April to create awareness of all forms of addiction, and mark their commitment to rejecting the same.

The lure of intoxicants is a very real danger to students in this day and age, whether these are presented as drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, for instance, or variations of digital addiction.

As part of their students’ defences against these dark, and often irresistible, forces, LPF Academy offers the ultimate shield: knowledge. Frank discussions with the national body dealing with dangerous substances were invaluable for the students. Furthermore, discussions and informative sessions for parents, staff and students were also organised with the Grassrooted Trust, which provided more facts from the perspective of social media abuse and digital addiction.

LPF Academy, part of the La Petite Fleur Schools network, also works diligently to inculcate appropriate, healthy attitudes, and values of self- respect and social responsibility, apart from creating awareness of smarter choices available rather than succumbing to self-destructive addictions.
