Watching TV movies on your mobile phones!

Viewing television on a mobile phone or from a tablet has been revolution­ised by PEO TV (Personalis­ed Entertainm­ent Option) that contains foreign and local TV programmes and an array of movies including the latest Sinhala movies.

“We even revolution­ised PEO TV with music on demand (MOD) with old music albums and educationa­l programmes available in our library for students,” said the Group Chief Marketing Officer of the Sri Lanka Telecom, Ajantha Seneviratn­e at the launch of PEO Television channel held recently at the Galle Face Hotel Colombo. “PEO TV can be watched while being away from home on another device like a mobile phone or from a tablet.”

Meanwhile the PEO TV gold logo was launched by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Te l e c o m ( S LT ) P. G. Kumarasing­he Sirisena. Viewers of PEO TV can now easily gain access to a database of music albums available at their library. PEO TV is an IPTV service operated by SLT Vision Com which is fully owned subsidiary of Sri Lanka Telecom. The Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of Sri Lanka Telecom ( SLT) Kiththi Perera said that PEO TV is a personaliz­ed channel and viewers can decide on what they want. “We at the SLT want to enrich our customers by giving them more options. This initiative will fuel our digital transforma­tion technology with a lot more to come in the future.” Sri Lanka Telecom’s ( SLT) Chief Technologi­cal Officer P. Fernandez said that his company is now ready for digital transforma­tion. ” We have a fiber network of 45,000 kilometers spread around the island and is ready for a super highway of digital transforma­tion having upgraded all our netwo r k s . ” Sri Lanka Telecommun­ications Chief Marketing Officer, Prabhath Dahanayake said that a solution has been found for a family to watch simultaneo­usly different programmes while at home without ensuing quarrels.
