A fast track for a world-class university degree

ACBT University Foundation programme for O/LEVEL qualified students

-

Australian Colle ge of Business and Technology (ACBT), the pioneer in providing Australian Higher Education in Sri Lanka with Edith Cowan University ( ECU), has started enrolments for its new batch of University Foundation Program exclusively meant for students who sat for GCE Ordinary Level Examination in 2018.

ACBT University Foundation Programme is an excellent opportunity for students who have completed Ordinary Level examination to fast track their entry to a university degree programme. This 8 - month Foundation Programme is ideal for those students who do not wish to pursue Advanced Level studies in schools and it directly transfers them, upon successful completion, to the first year of the university degree. To join the Foundation Programme, students require a minimumof 5 passes at GCE O/Level including a Credit pass for English Language.

There are four streams of study in the Foundation Programme : namely Business, Engineering Studies, Computing & IT and Health Studies. Graduates from these disciplines are in high demand globally.

Especially in Australia, these programmes open pathways to numerous employment opportunities for those students who plan to complete their degree programmes in a university in Australia after their Foundation Programme. An added advantage of the ACBT University Foundation Programme is that, if the students transfer to Australia, they are not expected to take any English Language Proficiency Tests such as IELTS.

However, if students do not intend to study in Australia, it is also possible for them to complete the entire degree programme at ACBT to obtain an internal degree certificate from ECU at a much lower cost than the expenditure of studying in Australia.

The 8 months of the Foundation Programme are divided into 2 semesters during which students study 8 subjects relevant to their chosen stream of specialisation. Course schedule is planned in order to engage students in a full-time academic programmeso as to equip them with the relevant subject knowledge, academic discipline and study skills expected of a prospective undergraduate student. In addition, students are provided with learning facilities of international standards as well as a comfortable and safe campus environment to study and socialize at ACBT.

Students and parents can get more information about the programme by calling the ACBT Hotline on 0773 000900, by visiting ACBT Campuses in Colombo, Kandy & Galle, by logging ontothe ACBT website on “www.acbt.net” or via email on info@acbt.lk .
