NDB Privilege Banking wins at Asiamoney Awards

NDB, which was identified as the Best Domestic Bank in Sri Lanka 2019, was also conferred the Best Bank for Premium Banking Sri Lanka 2019 for Privilege Banking at the Asiamoney awards held recently at the JW Marriott, Pacific Place, Hong Kong.

Privilege Banking is NDB’s symbol of commitment towards delivering complete financial solutions through exclusive Relationsh­ip Management across the customer’s entire wealth portfolio. The award recognised the years of consistent effort, innovative thinking and fruitful labour of NDB Privilege Banking. As part of the Euromoney group, Asiamoney identified the best of the best in all countries across a range of core banking services through a vigorous process which included interviews with the Bank’s senior management in addition to the applicatio­n being reviewed and analysed by a team of editors, jour nalists and researcher­s. The final decision was then made by the editorial committee, NDB said in a media release.

With the opening of dedicated Privilege Banking Centres in Pelawatte, Galle, Kandy and most recently in Kurunegala, NDB’s Premium Banking service serves over 7000 high net-worth customers.

One of the main developmen­ts of NDB Privilege Banking is the launch of “NDB Shareek” in 2018, a range of premium Islamic banking services designed in accordance with Shariah law. NDB Bank is the first, and still the only, Sri Lankan lender to offer customised Shariahcom­pliant premium banking services onshore.

NDB Privilege Banking covers all Banking Products and Services and extending to Government and Corporate Securities, Foreign Currency derivative­s and structured products and term deposits, Local Currency Deposits, money market savings accounts and customized Transactio­ns to suit the customer’s individual profile.
