Pera Uni. alumni association elects office bearers
The annual general meeting of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya (AAUP) was held recently at the university’s science faculty.
Vice Chancellor and Emeritus Prof. C.B. Dissanayake was the chief guest while Dr. Chandra Embuldeniya was the guest of honour. AAUP Vice Patron Professor Upul B. Dissanayake, other scholars and AAUP members participated.
The key events of the day included the felicitation of Emeritus Professor Rathna Handurukanda, awarding of scholarships to undergraduates, fellowship and lunch.
The following members were elected as office bearers of the association for 2019/20.
