Mobitel partners with Mastercard for Digital Payment Innovation through mCash

mCash, described as a revolution­ary mobile money platform, has entered into a strategic partnershi­p with Mastercard to further enhance Digital Inclusivit­y in Sri Lanka.

As a result of this partnershi­p, mCash customers can look forward to an array of benefits such as exciting new products and services while simultaneo­usly expanding mCash’s influence as the most versatile and convenient money platform.

mCash’s partnershi­p with Mastercard is further expected to reach mCash services across its 16,000+ partner network by empowering them with many benefits that will further enhance their digital capabiliti­es to serve customers, according to a Mobitel media release.

mCash says it strives to provide world-class digital services to its customers and partners with partnershi­ps of this kind which further its aim to bring Digital Inclusivit­y to Sri Lanka at a rapid pace.

mCash is a mobile wallet conceptual­ized by Mobitel and approved by the Central Bank and launched in November 2013 aimed at providing convenient­ly, instantly and securely enable financial transactio­ns by using a mobile phone.

mCash offers services such as sending and receiving money, mobile reloads and bill payments, utility and institute payments, online and in- store shopping payments via mCashQR which has been developed to the global EMVCo standards, bank deposits and digital loans where customers could apply and get a loan from the mobile via mCash.
