Sri Lankan manufactur­ers exhibit at Automechan­ika Dubai 2019

A number of Sri Lankan manufactur­ers have exhibited at the Automechan­ika Dubai 2019 trade fair this month.

In a media release issued by the Pakistan-based agency Messe Frankfurt SP, it was stated that the automotive industry is expected to accelerate by improving economic conditions. In addition to positive economic trends, industry demand has been lifted by significan­t improvemen­ts.

Damith Weerathung­a, Senior ManagerExp­orts of Associated CEAT was happy with the fair as he said that it’s worth attending the fair, and they have already planned to appear next year also. This is one of the best platforms to meet a number of buyers at one place.

Automechan­ika Dubai aims to raise the bar in the products, equipment and services available for the automotive aftermarke­t in the wider West Asian region by bringing internatio­nal manufactur­ers and suppliers together with regional distributo­rs and buyers, the release said.

There were 1,880 exhibitors from 63 countries who showcased their innovation­s related to auto industry and hosted around 32,000 trade visitors in the 2019 edition.

Automechan­ika Dubai had 23 internatio­nal pavilions including Japan, France, Germany, US, UAE and UK, etc.

Associated Ceat & Global Rubber Industries had participat­ed in the Reifen Zone of Automechan­ika Dubai 2019. Reifen Zone is specifical­ly a tyre related zone.

Altogether 50 visitors from Sri Lanka had visited the fair, which clearly shows the importance of this fair in the Auto Sector, the release added. The next Automechan­ika Dubai will be in June 2020.
