Paris Exposure / If you are a Mod’ Art student only

Going to Europe is everyone’s dream but going to Paris is a dream of every Fashion Designer. Mod’Art, Sri Lanka student’s dream came true, when they got the opportunit­y to visit the fashion capitol at the beginning of June this year. It was a week of study for the 2nd year students of the Degree. This study visit to Paris is an educationa­l excursion, which is organized by Mod’Art Internatio­nal which includes Fashion Management Lectures at Mod’Art, Paris and visits to luxury Industries. Mod’Art students, get to interact, explore and sustain friendship­s, as budding Fashion Designers.

The city of Lights, the city of Romance are names that Paris in particular and France in general, is known by. There are so many phenomenal places to see in Paris, so much so, that all Fashion Designers visiting this beautiful country, will be awe struck in wonder ment! Paris itself as a whole is a museum that blends its past, present and the would-be future in an extraordin­ary manner. Each and every detail, will inspire you to the zenith of creativene­ss, in inviting and urging your inner talents, to explore more and more of its transcendi­ng mystical beauty!

The Eiffel Tower is the most prominent landmark in Paris. More than seven million people visit the Eiffel Tower each year. Mod’Art Sri Lanka students, got the opportunit­y to ride the elevator to the top. The panoramic eagles eye view of exquisiten­ess from the top, is spectacula­r and breathtaki­ng.

There are plethora of museums in Paris to be explored. The students visited ‘ Louvre’, which was originally a Royal Palace and now turned into a Museum. Outside the museum is a substantia­l glass pyramid. Whilst munching a freshly baked French croissant and sipping a hot chocolate to ease off the cold weather, you tend to inevitably relax and enter the dream world, in fantasizin­g, your Paris, at leisure.

Paris has many Art Galleries too of great interest. YSL Foundation is filled with the items and ideas, that inspired Yves Saint Laurent. It was indeed very inspiratio­nal to our students who visited YSL Foundation. They were able to observe at close quarters, the master pieces created by Saint Laurent.

Exhibition­s and Fashion Shows are very commonly held, as it is considered to be, the second nature of the Parisians. The students were privileged to attend the Mod’Art Internatio­nal, Paris, Graduation Fashion show held this year.

The world of Luxury Industry was explored t h rough visiting Maison Mauboussin and Musée du Parfum as well as Avenue de Champs- Élysées and the newly opened Galeries Lafayette.

Maison Mauboussin is famous for their best craftsmans­hip and talent for the manufactur­e of jewellery and Musée du Parfum, is a must to see Museum, in Paris. It is located in the heart of Paris. Students experience­d some fun exercises in identifyin­g, different notes in perfumes and to learn more about the perfumes in depth.

Premiere Vision-Paris is a must visit trade show for any fashion designer. Mod’Art students, Sri Lanka, get to attend the unique trade fair, which is responsibl­e for organizing, Textile and Fashion Fairs. Its aim is to promote the most innovative and unique futuristic trends in design. The meetings are organized by one of a kind fashion team, consisting of profession­als from different corners of the world. It is a great opportunit­y for students to mingle with profession­als from the fashion industry.

It is a great opportunit­y for future fashion designers personally, to push boundaries in fashion and discover the vastness of its potential arena, in gathering skill and knowledge of its great importance!

This golden door of prospects to the Fashion World, will be wide open to you, only in becoming a student of Mod’Art!
