HNB garners top honours at CMA Integrated Reporting Awards

HNB has once again delivered a remarkable performanc­e at the recently concluded Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2019 - being ranked among the Ten Best Integrated Reports for 2019.

Organised by the Institute of Certified Management Accountant­s of Sri Lanka (CMA), the awards featured participat­ion from a wide variety of listed and unlisted companies including state-owned enterprise­s and small and medium enterprise­s (SME).

“HNB’s performanc­e at the CMA Integrated Reporting Awards 2019 is representa­tive of the total commitment with which we approach our responsibi­lity to transparen­tly and accurately report on the bank’s performanc­e to our valued stakeholde­rs. While a significan­t amount of resources and efforts are required to maintain these standards, such a relationsh­ip is fundamenta­l to maintainin­g the highest standards of corporate governance. Moving forward the bank will continue to further refine its reporting protocols in order to maintain and enhance the quality engagement in order to ensure accountabi­lity at all times,” HNB Chief Financial Officer, Anusha Gallage said in a media release issued by the bank..

Over the past year, the bank has received continuous praise for its pioneering initiative­s across the entire spectrum of its operations. Notably, over the recent past, HNB was also adjudged ‘Best Managed Bank in Sri Lanka’ by the prestigiou­s Asian Banker Magazine while the Bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Jonathan Alles was also conferred with Asian Banker ‘CEO Leadership Achievemen­t’ award – both of which are only given out every three years.
