SLT website wins “Most Popular Corporate Website 2019” at web awards
Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the leading ICT and digital solutions provider has announced that the company’s corporate website www.slt.lk secured the title Most Popular Corporate Website 2019 at the prestigious BestWeb. lk Awards 2019. Rohana Ellawala, GM Corporate Branding / SLT accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The SLT corporate website that serves as the company’s virtual presence on cyberspace provides a vast amount of information as well as many interactive features, in catering to a diverse audience including the company’s customers, investors, business organisations as well as the general public. SLT’s website is amongst the top 20 traffic ranking websites in Sri Lanka, with over 800,000 page views per month, amongst which 60 per cent are mobile users.
BestWeb.lk is an annual competition organised by LK Domain Registry with the intention of recognising and rewarding the top websites in Sri Lanka with the ultimate goal of encouraging and motivating owners of websites as well as website developers to enhance the standard and quality of their sites. It is a unique and innovative competition, conducted for the ninth consecutive time this year. Applicants are judged by a panel of judges comprising industry experts in their respective fields. Websites are judged on various criteria that cover aspects such as creativity, website design, technical criteria and content made available to visitors to the site, interaction as well as conformity to standards, SLT said in a media release.
