Making a fashion statement with plastic

-

Making a strong commitment to sustainable fashion, leading clothing brand GFLOCK launched their Recycled Collection earlier this month. All creations in this collection which incorporates street wear, office wear and formal wear have been made with fabric made from plastic PET bottles.

The initiative is the brainchild of GFLOCK’s dynamic CEO and founder Ranil Wiladdarage whose commitment to recycling and the environment is also reflected in earlier projects such as its tree planting campaign which involved the donation of saplings to customers and the planting of trees along the road to Wilpattu and the Southern highway as well.

The well attended launch at their flagship store in Colombo 3 also featured a panel discussion with Wiladdarage, the ‘Face of GFLOCK’ Tamara Senaratne, their Work Wear Department designer Shanali Fernando, with moderator Vraie Balthazaar.
