City called Akon to come up in Senegal

The musician Akon has announced the building of Akon City in Senegal in West Africa. The 46 year old singer and producer took to social media to post pictures. The new city will be built close the international airport near the capital Dakar, and is expected to be completed by 2025. Akon was born in the US to Senegalese parents. He has had several hit songs in the 2000s such as ‘ Lonely’, ‘ Smack That’, ‘ I Wanna Love You’ and ‘ Don’t Matter’.
