A love beyond ethnic divisions

im Him’, a love story that goes beyond ethnic and religious barriers, is scheduled to be released on MPI circuit cinemas around the country from next April.

Scripted and directed by Michelle Fonseka, ‘Nim Him’ is his second directoria­l venture. Started with ‘Supiri Andare’, a family film, his second film revolves around a love story between a Tamil Hindu girl and a Sinhala boy.

The film narrates around Radhika Krishnaswa­mi who is brought up in a traditiona­l Hindu background. Her parents are desperatel­y searching for a partner who would suit their ethnicity, religion and social background. Even Radhika is waiting for a prospectiv­e partner. Many comes her way but either they do not suit their family or she doesn’t like them. But one day she comes across a young man who is completely different to what she and her family were searching for. And this meeting and relationsh­ip is to last for the rest of her life.
