Northern chapter of AAUP holds first meeting

The Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya ( AAUP) had taken steps to establish its newest chapter in Jaffna to cover Northern Sri Lanka. The inaugural meeting of the Northern Chapter will be held at 3 pm at the Jaffna University Medical Faculty Auditorium today (March 8). The event will be coordinated by a team led by Prof S Kannathasan. All Peradeniya graduates and post-graduates are welcome to attend this function. This is the fourth local AAUP chapter, after the Colombo, Ruhuna and Wayamba chapters. There are foreign AAUP chapters in Australia and Canada.
