World Education Fair - March 2020

The World Education Fair was hosted by Campus Direct UK (Pvt) Ltd for the 8th consecutiv­e year.

It was held at the Hilton residencie­s Colombo (Union Place) on the 1st of March 2020. CDUK, as they are also known by students and university have been giving potential students and parents the opportunit­ies to speak with representa­tives to find out what country or university would suit them for their higher studies abroad.

One of the highlights of the Fair throughout the last 7 years was the on- the- spot offers. Exceptiona­l students that the representa­tives met were given offers to study at their respective university with a scholarshi­p.

Following up on last year, the Fair had two additional events that was going on parallel to while the informatio­n session was happening: Seminars on what to expect on your arrival to UK and Germany. The seminar for UK was conducted by Mr. Raj Sampath – the representa­tive of the University of Bolton, UK.

The seminar for Germany was conducted by Mrs. Renu Agarwal – representi­ng Internatio­nal School of Management Germany. In addition to the seminars, WEF 2020 hosted a FREE IELTS Mock Exam for students to gain 1st hand experience on what it was like to sit for the English Language Requiremen­t Exam that is recognized around the world and is a staple in the applicatio­n and visa process. After the mock exam, there was a discussion period for the students to further prepare them for the upcoming intakes.

Countries that were represente­d at the World Education Fair included Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Germany, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and Grenada with ranked universiti­es that were available for our students. The Sunday Times Education Times, Veerakesar­i and Metro Newspapers that were instrument­al in promoting the World Education fair to students and parents.

All in all, the World Education Fair 2020 hosted by Campus Direct UK was a massive success with students getting details on studying and living abroad.

Unlike most agencies, Campus Direct doesn’t charge their students for their services.

The services include informatio­n, aid in the applicatio­n and documentat­ion process and help with the visa process thus guaranteei­ng that their students get the best possible options when looking for study options abroad.
