43rd SIGNIS Salutation 2020 is open now.

Applications are now being called for the cinema and tele productions shown throughout the year 2019 for the 43rd SIGNIS Salutation.

The films screened last year and tele dramas under 100 episodes, telecast in 2019 could be presented for the SIGNIS SALUTATION 2020

Tele Cine Awards ceremony. “Director Tomorrow” Short Film Festival is also on this year and the short films produced since 2017 would be qualified for the Awards this year. “SIGNIS, for the last 43 years, has recognised and felicitated the diverse categories in Cinema and Television Dramas and has been extending plenteous and dedicated support for the betterment of the local Cinema and Television Dramas in Sri Lanka,” said Rev. Fr. Lal Pushpadewa Fernando OMI, President of SIGNIS Sri Lanka.

The applications are now available at the SIGNIS Office for those who wish to apply for the three categories- cinema, teledrama and short films.

For the Feature Films and for the Television Drama competitions, works of art have to be handed over in 35 Mm or DCP Formats and three copies of each should be handed over for the Jury Preview (External Hard Disk or 3 sets of DVD). Three sets of DVD in HD format have to be handed over for the short film completion.

The deadline for films and teledramas is on or before April 3 while for the Short Films on or before April 17.
