The good news is that ANC Education US & Canada Placement team headed by Ms. Manouri Malalage is working steadfastly with Admissions staff in U.S and Canadian universities and we are receiving our “Student Acceptance Letters” ontime. Moreover, the lucky students who applied through ANC Direct Placement for May 2020 intake have already managed to secure their Canadian study permits, and are given the opportunity to start their “First Semester Online” in the comfort of their homes in Sri Lanka, until international air spaces open up, says Mr. Brent Krmpotich, International Director for Enrollment, Algoma University Canada.

Why wait for a VISA, Begin your program Online this fall 2020
The action plans taken to counter challenges posed by Covid-19 are currently underway by many of our partner universities, providing a safer and timely approach during these difficult times. es in August 2020 or January 2021 in person in Cape Girardeau
The Web only programs offered exclusively online offer 30+ Bachelor’s Degrees, including Business, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Social Science & more and Master’s degrees in Applied Computer Science, Cyber Security, Public Administration, Healthcare Management and more. Students can choose to begin their program as Web Only in fall 2020 and would have already earned credit towards their Southeast degree. The Web Only tuition rate is comparable to the Missouri resident tuition rate and less costly. Once a Web Only student matriculates to on-campus, their tuition rate will shift to the nonresident rate and they will automatically receive the Merit-based Scholarship they qualified for when first admitted. For students who want to apply for Spring 2021 and beyond, Southeast Missouri State University is still accepting and processing applications as usual.
Northern Arizona University
NAU Admissions staff is being extra understanding where they are accepting international student applications on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadline. However students are encouraged to apply soon in order to secure Scholarships for fall 2020 and Spring 2021. In case students face travel issues, there are selected online program options available for students to start first semester of the degree program Online.
University Canada, West
The university plans to start Summer & Fall 2020 with Online/ blended options for international students who face travel restrictions. Students with approved study permits are entitled to attend online classes. Commencement dates in year 2020 may face a couple of weeks’ delay to give students extra time to prepare and plan. The university is currently accepting student applications for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.
University at Albany- SUNY
UAlbany which is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) umbrella of universities remain committed to international students and are working continuously to support them during this crisis. The university has extended the Fall 2020 student application deadline to June 1st and are working hard to ensure that international student applications are processed as timely as possible. UAlbany offers new Scholarships for incoming international transfer students between US$5000-US$7000 per year, and Direct Placement students between US$7000 – US$12000 per year, and they are renewable annually. However students are encouraged to apply early for better scholarship opportunities.
Acadia University, Canada
The Plan is to start as per schedule in September 2020 and Admissions staff is already working on a Virtual Platform to accommodate any delay in student arrivals due to Covid-19. Acadia is accepting applications and is producing student Acceptance letters for Admissions. The university is also being flexible with accepting unofficial transcripts for evaluating acceptances and Predicted results accepted as ‘final’ for acceptance purposes. The deadline will also be extended on case by case basis for international student applications.
SAT, IELTS and Duo lingo English Tests
Examination Officials from centers such as SAT and IELTS are working to minimize a negative impact on student applications and exam officials say ‘we know students are anxious about how the corona virus crisis will affect their University application process, including taking SAT. We are committed to being flexible and innovative to give students opportunities to test as soon as the situation allows”. The Duo lingo online English test is accepted by many universities as a Standard English aptitude test. The main intention of all university Admission related Officers is clearly to proceed with fall 2020 applications and ensure the student is placed in their respective universities on-time.
