Internships/ Employment & Industry Exposure

According to the HESA Employment

Performance Indicator, 95.5% of UCLan Graduates enter employment within 6 months after graduating. The reason behind this impressive statistic can be linked to the highly industry relevant modules incorporated in their curriculum and its commitment to produce work-ready graduates! At UCL, UCLan students undertake a one-year internship/work-placement programme during the third year of their respective degrees which is recognised by the university. This is designed to provide an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical work environment and gain much needed exposure to corporate culture of reputed organisations in diverse sectors and industries. Their students also undertake summer internships during their summer breaks which keeps them occupied and provides them an opportunity to accumulate work experience. Combining this with the main internship which they undertake after the second year of the four-year degree programmes, will enable our students to receive work experience and exposure that will prepare them to become competent work-ready graduates.

The UCLan undergraduates at UCL have been successful in securing internship in leading corporates employment including MAS, Brandix, Dialog Axiata, John Keells Holdings, Hayleys, Hemas, Hatton National Bank, London Stock Exchange Group, Ceylon Biscuits Ltd., 99X Technology, Attune, JAT Holdings.
