Takas E-Commerce Services (TES) enters Pakistan market

Pakistan’s SIAR Digital a technology company and Sri Lanka’s Takas E- Commerce Services (TES-the tech arm of Takas.lk) have entered into a strategic alliance to be the sole distributo­r of TES to Pakistani e- commerce companies.

TES as well as SIAR Digital see a huge potential in Pakistan in the e- commerce space which is now valued at more than US$600 million. Under the agreement SIAR Digital has become a customer of TES for its current services and will become the sole agent for representi­ng TES in Pakistan.

A media release by the Sri Lankan company said Takas.lk – one of the pioneers in the ecommerce industry in Sri Lanka - developed TES as a B2B solution. The TES solution not only empowered the backend operations at Takas but a host of other e- commerce and fulfillmen­t companies in Sri Lanka.

The largest such customer for TES was wOw.lk. The TES system that was developed completely in-house is a complete ERP solution for e- commerce and well as any type of fulfillmen­t. Its key product feature is a CRM that is fully integrated to warehouse and shipping that gives the user complete ownership of the eco- system that they operate in. Not only this, TES increases efficiency and is a completely scalable platform.

SIAR is the sole service provider in Pakistan to offer complete end-to- end solution for large scale retailers ranging from Digital Marketing, Website Developmen­t and Management, physical Inventory Management and Order Fulfillmen­t, real time digital Customer Services and Logistics partner management, as well as technologi­cal solutions for in-house operations.

The partnershi­p will enhance the reach of TES through to Pakistan. Commenting on the alliance, co-founder of SIAR Digital Zulfiqar Khan stated, “We have been working with the TES team for months to get this point. We feel TES will help us reach our strategic goal of empowering the e- commerce market in Pakistan”. Furthermor­e he stated, “Our key strategic relationsh­ips and global partnershi­ps enable us to achieve our goal of helping e- commerce businesses scale and sustain the growth through innovative technologi­cal solutions as per business requiremen­ts and objectives.”

Kalinga Athulathmu­dali CTO of TAKAS/TES said: “We have been working with Zulficar on this project for sometime, and we are super excited about the launch of TES in Pakistan. During COVID-19 we have done the implementa­tion of technology completely remotely. It’s a testimony to the incredible technology capacity of our team in Sri Lanka.”
