‘Follow preventive measures strictly & don’t fall for rumours’

Ensure that you follow the basic preventive health measures against COVID-19 which include hand hygiene, social distancing, wearing facemasks in public places and avoiding large gatherings.

This was the strong and urgent plea from Dr. Anil Jasinghe to all Sri Lankans not only to keep the virus away from themselves but also to prevent it infecting others.

A powerful advocacy programme is on the cards to be carried out island-wide next week under the COVID-19 Fund, he said, urging that people should not believe rumours and speculation.
