Sunday Times (Sri Lanka)
Sri Lanka has a long and rich history when it comes to wall murals. The country recently experienced a trending street art wave. Some hailed the new street art wave as a turning point in the country, where young people were working to spread both positive energy and social awareness through graffiti.
As with most trends however, the street art wave has disappeared over time. We are now left with many incomplete wall paintings. Those behind the wave have now rallied around new trends. The street art wave remains a promise of what could have been.
