he International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) is certainly beyond doubt one of the very few educational institutes in Sri Lanka that thrusts not only its young and mature learners to shine in academia but to also gain confidence and exercise their own aptitude to be all round achievers. IIHS believes in ‘creating SMART people’ and continues to soar in the Sri Lankan and South Asian education sectors as it stands out as one of the very few private institutes to offer unique international pathways to courses in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Bio Medical Sciences, Health Administration and Education. IIHS is proud to be the home of hard working, ambitious, critical thinking and determined students who continue to take large strides in the academic world with its popular 3+1 and 2+2 pathways. These students not only thrive in the classroom but bring vibrancy to the multiple endeavors that IIHS drives their students into. With guidance by the academic staff, the culture inculcated at IIHS ensures that students from the most diverse backgrounds are able to gain the highest achievements with unlimited opportunities.

Ms. Rashmalee Peiris:

Programme: Bachelor of Nursing Status: IIHS & Deakin University Alumnus, Registered

Nurse in Victoria - Australia. School: Lyceum International School, Wattala “As an alumnus from Lyceum International School, my only thought was that I wanted to start a health- related programme. However, as an international school student who had done London A/L’s the choices I had were quite limited, one being to fly abroad, which is quite expensive. So, I knew I had to look for different avenues & that’s when I stumbled across IIHS. The 3 years with IIHS not only enhanced my academic skills, but it also made me identify the strengths I never knew I had. Thanks to the amazing support system I was provided, both from the lecturers and the administrative personnel, I was able to achieve many milestones, those that were just dreams. After my 3 years at IIHS I completed 1 year at Deakin University Australia and my Bachelors led me to registration as a nurse which has unlocked many doors for me”. –
