Eastern University Commerce and Management Faculty Annual Research Session held recently

The Eastern University Commerce and Management Faculty’ s Annual Research Session for this year, ( ARSFCM – 2020) was held recently. The theme for the event was ‘Sharing Business Knowledge for Community Well-being.’

The event provided a platform for researcher­s, academics, business people and research scholars to share their knowledge and profession­alism and make a shift in the sector through the transmissi­on of their knowledge.

The main focus of the platform was to provide opportunit­ies for undergradu­ates in different business fields.

Nineteen research papers were submitted to the different tracts namely Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Entreprene­urship, Commerce, and Economics. The Commerce and Management Faculty Dean V. R. Ragel presided over the Conference. ARSFCM 2020 Conference Chairman S. Jeyarajah welcomed the gathering.

Eastern University Vice Chancellor F. C. Ragel, was the Chief Guest and he emphasised the importance of research in his address to the audience. Trincomale­e

Campus Rector V. Kanagasing­am was the Guest of Honour for the event. Civil Engineerin­g Senior Professor Ananda Jayawardan­e and Former University of Moratuwa ViceChance­llor delivered the keynote address via Zoom. South Eastern University Management and Commerce Dean S. Gunapalan chaired the valedictor­y session. ARSFCM 2020 Conference Secretary Bharathy Kennedy delivered the vote of thanks.

There were two sessions for paper presentati­ons. The best presenters were awarded with medals and certificat­es.
