Trinity Logistics never stops thinking about new and innovative solutions to offer its clients and the freight transportation industry in season and out of season
In 2016, Trinity Logistics was the first and only freight forwarder in the annals of Sri Lanka’s freight forwarding history to operate its own weekly Controlled Capacity Freighter Service directly from Colombo to Columbus, Ohio ( LCK) USA deploying Etihad 777-200 equipment. The Freighters eventually operated right into Trinity’s Worldport CFS facility which is directly on the runway at Terminal 3 of Rickenbacker International Airport ( LCK). From LCK cargo is loaded on Trinity’s trucks for final mile delivery to be made seamlessly. This freighter operation later increased to a twice- weekly fixed scheduled service until months before the outbreak of the present COVID-19 pandemic.
During the height of the Global Economic downturn and the tough times that came about in the international community because of the pandemic, Trinity with the strong hope of providential care and well- established relationships with select first-class airlines kept a continuous focus on offering the US and European clients strategic solutions for delivering their cargo from the Indian subcontinent in time.
Now when the storm and stress of COVID- 19 has resurfaced intensely in Sri Lanka, Trinity with simple elegance has come up with yet another groundbreaking initiative to recommence its twice-weekly direct freighter service from Colombo to its CFS facility at Rickenbacker International Airport ( LCK) using Turkish Airlines A330- 300 equipment. This unequalled service where cargo is delivered in no time is a solution that not only provides our foreign clients with the cutting edge of advancement in their business but also facilitates the local exporters and fellow freight forwarders to mitigate freight costs, secure bookings in the prevalent backdrop of soaring air freight rates and payload issues experienced in the market owing to high demand and to meet strict deadlines for delivery of cargo. This service gives relief especially to the textiles and garments export sector in Sri Lanka at the time it is most needed.
Jayakumar Palihawadana, Vice President of Trinity Logistics ISC Operations mentioned that Trinity is globally powered by a team of doers and that is an attribute to the unique achievements of the company.
