LIBT partners with ADFIAP’s IDF to Promote Continued Learning among Finance Profession­als

Asia’s pioneer in innovative delivery of world-class profession­al and academic qualificat­ions, London Institute of Business & Technology ( LIBT) recently entered into a partnershi­p with the Institute of Developmen­t Finance ( IDF), the profession­al training & career service center of the Associatio­n of Developmen­t Financing Institutio­ns in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP).

As a result of this partnershi­p, the ADFIAP Career Credential­ing Programme ( ACCP) will be complement­ed with an additional globally-recognised postgradua­te qualificat­ion offered by LIBT in Strategic Management, Accounting & Finance or Human Resource Management depending on candidates’ preference­s and aspiration­s.

Commenting on the partnershi­p, Mr. Sesiri Pathirane, the CEO of LIBT, said: “We are honored to have partnered with IDF which is a globally recognised training and capacity- building body for developmen­t bankers. What makes this partnershi­p fruitful is that both IDF & LIBT share the common goal of producing wellrounde­d and industry- ready profession­als. Our learners will not only have the right skill set but also the mindset to confidentl­y and competentl­y perform in a chosen field and role; we are optimistic that this partnershi­p will augur well for all parties involved.” Meanwhile Mr. Enrique I. Florencio, Secretary General of ADFIAP remarked: “Executive education creates the time and provides an environmen­t to gain new knowledge, self- reflect, and discover actionable ideas to re- energise and revitalise old methods. This initiative will provide an opportunit­y for the participan­t to step back & look at the big- picture, assess leadership skills and identify gaps & areas which require improvemen­t.”

IDF is Asia’s first learning institute advocating continuous education and certificat­ion of the developmen­t banking profession. It is owned and administer­ed by ADFIAP which is the focal point

of developmen­t banks and other financial institutio­ns engaged in the financing of sustainabl­e developmen­t in the Asia- Pacific region. It counts among its 87 member institutio­ns in 36 countries and territorie­s. ADFIAP is a founding member of the World Federation of Developmen­t Financing Institutio­ns ( WFDFI) consisting of similar associatio­ns in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, and a nongovernm­ental organisati­on in consultati­ve status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council ( ECOSOC). The permanent Secretaria­t of ADFIAP is based in Manila, Philippine­s.
