Colombo, September 23,

2021- Citizens Development Business Finance PLC, in celebration of World Children’s Day, announced the launch of their first- ever Digital Art Competition “CD B Rank et iS i th th amRoo 2021”. The initiative will allow children to explore their creativity and express themselves through art and colour. The competition will be held virtually in accordance with the health and safety guidelines set in place by the authorities.

The ongoing pandemic situation has disrupted the day to day lives of children limiting their time outside with friends and activities, therefore with the hope of bringing excitement and smiles to their world CDB initiated an island-wide art competition allowing children to create beautiful canvases, bringing their imaginations to life.

‘ CDB Ran kati Sit ht hamRoo 2021’ is open to children between 5- 12 years of age. The young artists are not limited to a topic and will be allowed to create under a topic of their choice and use a medium that is best suited for them.

“Children are the future of our world and their creative minds can do wonders. For nearly two years due to the ongoing pandemic situation their learning outcomes have been confined to a screen. Therefore, for this Children’s Day, with the hope of bringing happiness and excitement to their world, we at CDB wanted to create an opportunity for children to express their talents with colour to their heart’s content, through “CD B Rank e ti Sit ht hamRoo 2021”. We encourage all parents to inspire their budding artists to take part in the competition” said Dar sh ana Jay a sing he, Senior Deputy General Manager, Marketing at CDB as he shared his thoughts on the initiative.

Three winners will be selected by a distinguished judge and will receive exciting gifts from CDB. The winner of the First place will receive a Mountain Bike, while the second and third places will receive a Scooter and a Game set with a stationery pack, respectively.
