The National Savings Bank opens a Banking Services Centre at Suhurupaya, Battaramul­la to provide Banking Services to Sri Lankan migrants

The National Savings Bank’s Banking Services Centre has been opened at the Immigratio­n and Emigration Department premises , at Suhurupaya, Battaramul­la to provide banking services to Sri Lankans living and employed abroad.

Through this Banking Service Centre, banking services will be provided to Sri Lankans who are already living abroad and aspiring to work. Through this centre, rupee and foreign currency accounts can be opened, remittance­s can be remitted to Sri Lanka through legal and secure channels, informatio­n related to the loan requiremen­ts of foreign workers and other banking related informatio­n could be obtained .

Whilst Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Ajith Peiris , General Manager / CEO of National Savings Bank, Mr. K. Ravindran, Senior Deputy General Manager, Ms. Christine Jesudian, and Mr. Rohana Weerakoon Deputy General Managers of the Bank , were present on behalf of the National Savings Bank.
