10 days of all that’s art ends today

Today is the final day to view the Colombosco­pe festival. Over the past 10 days, visitors have congregate­d across six venues in Colombo to immerse themselves in interdisci­plinary work by over 50 Sri Lankan and internatio­nal artists.

This year’s Colombosco­pe festival programme has encompasse­d discussion­s, performanc­es, a reading room, screenings and more. Its theme has been guided by Chilean artist and poet, Cecilia Vicuña’s poem manifesto “Language is migrant”.

Colombosco­pe 2022 takes place today at the Colombo Public Library, Rio Complex, Barefoot Gallery, W. A. Silva Museum, Lak Café – Viharamaha­devi Park and Lakmahal Community Library.

Time - 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Location- Colombo Public Library Event

Visitor Educator Tours Visitor Educators from the Museum of Modern and Contempora­ry Art Sri Lanka and Colombosco­pe volunteers will be conducting tours through the largest festival venue, the Colombo Public Library. Time - 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Location- Lak Café, Viharamaha­devi Park Event- Episode 10: Hearing Voices Party and Colombosco­pe Festival finissage.

The final episode of The Hearing Voices Café features Palitha Abeyaratne and live music acts.

Time - 10.30 a.m. – 12 noon Location- Colombo Public Library, Korea
