St. John Bosco’s College 88th Anniversary

-

The period before Sri Lanka got her Independence, British rulers governed this island. Even though they were foreigners, we should not forget the fact that English was introduced by them to our local education system. However, everybody could not get an English education due to a lack of facilities.

Like a silver lining in the dark clouds, St. John Bosco SSJ Missionary Rev. Brothers came forward to render their education services to all considering this as a service to God. The Rev. Brothers extended their services to the estates to make the young steers walk along the lighted path of education. As a reward for their efforts, students started joining the school in numbers.

It is our everlasting prayer that the glory of the college should bloom day by day forever. Our Vision: To enable students to be constructive thinkers able to hypothesis pose questions. Investigate issues develop solution to problems and be able to use information and communication technologies as tools for learning. Our Mission: to provide an environment in which every individual is cared for spiritually, morally, intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.
