Professions with a high job demand need to be identified: President

There is a need to identify professions that have a high job demand and produce educated people in these relevant fields President Gotabaya Rajapaksa said recently.

Speaking at the event to declare open the Vavuniya University, the President said it is also the responsibility of the Education Ministry to enable all students who pass the G.C.E. A/L exams to continue their education, until they obtain a degree.

The President exchanged views with students of the Information Technology faculty and said if they could share their knowledge with the people in the area it would be a great service.

He said it was the Government’s hope to produce knowledgeable people who could make future changes in the society.
