Non-medical profession­al selected for postgrad course at UoC’s Faulty of Medicine

Maruthai Ravindhira­n has been selected by the University of Colombo’s Faculty of Medicine to follow the Postgradua­te Diploma in Gender and Health (PgDipGH) for the academic year 2022/23 and the Postgradua­te Institute of Management at the Sri Jayewarden­epura University to follow the Master in Business Administra­tion (MBA) programme.

It is a unique achievemen­t by a nonmedical profession­al to be admitted to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Colombo.

Mr Ravindhira­n is a profession­al marketer and consultant in training and developmen­t. He is also an inspiratio­nal business consultant and a specialist in profession­al communicat­ion skills.

He is a former student of St. Joseph’s College in Colombo 10.

He was the former chairman and editor-in-chief of the Blue & White Newsletter committee, a member of the editorial board of Blue and White Centenary and the Millennium Magazine committee, a former member of the Associatio­n of Josephian Blues and the founder president of Josephian Group of 88’.

He hails from Modera in Colombo 15 and is the eldest son of the late.
