Premaratne's hurricane 121 gives Siam City Cement huge win

A whirlwind knock of 121-runs in 57 balls, inclusive of 10 sixes and 10 fours by Sameera Premaratne, propelled Siam City Cement to a huge 117-run win over VS Information Systems in the ongoing Mercantile Cricket Association ( MCA) 'F' Division 25-over League Tournament 2022. The fourth edition, sponsored by Fairfirst Insurance is being played for the 'Sanjeev Jha' Challenge Trophy.

Premaratne along with Dhanushka Jayaweera ( 70) put on 125 runs in 65 balls for the fourth wicket which enabled Siam City to post 251- 5 in 25 overs. The other notable performances with the bat and ball came from Prasanna Jayamanne from Technomedics

( 73 vs Emerchemie NB), Tharindu Ariyawansa from NTB ( 53 vs DPGC ' B'), Lahiru Ratnayake from Cargills Bank ( 52n. o. vs Mac Holdings), Ashen Fernando from NTB ( 5 for 21 vs DPGC ' B'), Dhananjaya de Silva from Emerchemie NB ( 4 for 11 vs Technomedics) and Madushan Sanjaya from Ansel Textiles ( 4 for 20 vs Atire).

The tournament continues this week end with a card of 10 half-day matches.
