‘Keerthi’ celebrates birthday with ‘Sathsara Paramitha’

Veteran singer and musician Keerthi Pasquel set an example on his birthday for many recently by gifting 1000 violins to needy children who are studying music. Titled ‘Sathsara Paramitha’ the project was organised by ‘Help Circle’ an organisati­on formed to carryout charitable projects.

Coordinati­ng with the Education Ministry and Zonal directors of aesthetic studies, 1000 students had been selected representi­ng all nine provinces.

To mark the event, 30 students were handed over violins at the presentati­on ceremony held on January 29 in line with Keerthi’s birthday.

In addition to gifting violins, the releasing of 2022/2023 edition of ‘Sonic’, the telephone directory of music artistes, a project started by Keerthi himself in 1997 also conducted at Sri Lanka Foundation.

Keerthi also launched the visuals of his newest song ‘Adariye

Kavikariye’ and his websites www.keerthipas­quel.com.

Representi­ng the Sri Lanka music field veteran singer Visharadha Nanda Malini, Rohana Weerasingh­e, Samantha Perera, Sarath de Alwis, Earnest Soyza, Mahinda Bandara, Navaratne Gamage and Nilar N. Cassim and number of cinema artistes and media personnel participat­ed at the event held in Sri Lanka Foundation.
