ANC-MMI Successful Book Week for Pre-School kids

Modern Montessori International (MMI) educates Preschool kids the value of reading books during the ‘ Book Week’ which was held from 24th to 26th of January 2022. “Book Week” is designed to encourage children to read and covers reading time, puppets, story time and the participation of parents in reading to the children. The 3-day Book Week is an interactive session conducted indoors and outdoors in spacious settings selected particularly for story time where the MMI curriculum incorporates children’s classical stories and folktales with a moral value behind it.

Book week entertains children with a variety of interesting stories that include; Goldilocks & The Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Tortoise and Rabbit and so forth which helps children to get to know sounds, words and language, grasp ideas and develop early literacy skills. Children learn to value books and it sparks a Childs’ imagination as well as stimulates curiosity. The Book week concluded with a “Character Day” where each class selects a story and dresses up according to the story and performs a role play of that story together with their teachers and children acting out the characters beautifully.

Children from 2 years to 5 years participated at ‘ Book Week’ this year which was concluded successfully with happy children, teachers and parents who enjoyed every moment of the story time and role plays.
