A drama that exposes the role of media
A theatrical criticism on the role of media, ‘Thunsiya Heta eka– 361’ produced by Udayasiri Wickremaratne will be staged at 3.30 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. on March 19 at the Elphinston theatre, Colombo.
The cast includes Gihan Fernando, Umayangana Wickremasinghe, Ruwan Malith, Chamari Nisansala, Mihiri Priyangani, Rohitha Jayakoday, Kusal Maduranga, Ishara Wickremasinghe, Susanga Kahandawala Arachchi and Nayanathara de Silva. Music by Lalith Wickramarathne, set design, costume design and lighting are done by Luvolin Vanderwall, Nipuni
Preksha Mendis, and
Mihindu Madhushanka respectively. Stage management is by Sumedha Prasanna.
Famed for his earlier directions like ‘Suddek Oba Amathai” (A White Man Addresses You) “Rangapema Ivaral” (Adieu to Acting) and “Pem Yuwalak One Kara Thibe” (Wanted a Pair of Lovers) in ‘Thunsiya Hetaeka 361’ Udayasiri Wickremaratne exposes the reality behind the modern popular mass media industry.

theatre gate.
