A theatrical criticism on the role of media, ‘Thunsiya Heta eka– 361’ produced by Udayasiri Wickremara­tne will be staged at 3.30 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. on March 19 at the Elphinston theatre, Colombo.

The cast includes Gihan Fernando, Umayangana Wickremasi­nghe, Ruwan Malith, Chamari Nisansala, Mihiri Priyangani, Rohitha Jayakoday, Kusal Maduranga, Ishara Wickremasi­nghe, Susanga Kahandawal­a Arachchi and Nayanathar­a de Silva. Music by Lalith Wickramara­thne, set design, costume design and lighting are done by Luvolin Vanderwall, Nipuni

Preksha Mendis, and

Mihindu Madhushank­a respective­ly. Stage management is by Sumedha Prasanna.

Famed for his earlier directions like ‘Suddek Oba Amathai” (A White Man Addresses You) “Rangapema Ivaral” (Adieu to Acting) and “Pem Yuwalak One Kara Thibe” (Wanted a Pair of Lovers) in ‘Thunsiya Hetaeka 361’ Udayasiri Wickremara­tne exposes the reality behind the modern popular mass media industry.

All seats are box planned and tickets are now available at Sarasavi Book Shop Nugegoda, and the

theatre gate.
